Students at Boulder Creek come to the library once a week with their class. Sometimes, students can return and check out a book during special open check-out times as well. We are so fortunate to have Accelerated Reader at our school. This program tests students to check their reading abilities, and from there, they can choose books that are not too easy for them, but not to hard either. Their comfort zone of reading is where they will grow as readers.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, with a degree in Elementary Education, and a minor in Instructional Resources. I have been a school librarian my whole career, working at the elementary level, and at the Junior High and High School levels. Each age of student, has been a joy to work with, and I look forward to coming to work each day.
