The COPE program is Children Overcoming Problems through Education. Helping your child overcome their personal obstacles is my main priority. You can expect me to be firm, honest, and committed to your child’s success.
My name is Carissa Jansen and I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, however I have been living in Arizona for the past 16 years. I am married with two wonderful children one of which is a student here at Boulder Creek. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Special and Elementary Education from Arizona State University and this is my third year as a COPE teacher here at Boulder Creek.
My mission is to create a positive, supportive, and nurturing environment, while challenging students to push themselves further. I will provide them with a secure foundation for developing trust, initiative, and independence. I establish high expectations and provide students the opportunity to fulfill those expectations. This is my opportunity to provide the learning style that best enables each student to achieve high individual goals and become a life long learner.
